Diet Therapy An intake of a large amount of proteins increases the waste to be excreted from body, which means heavy load on kidneys. On the other hand, low-protein diet will helpful to reduce the burden on the kidneys. The appropriate diet is the key factor for people, whose kidney function has declined, to prolong the start of dialysis. Please note that more important matter is to receive the instruction by professional medical doctors and dietitians since, depending on the symptom and the type of kidney disease, the underlying diseases of each person, the appropriate diet would be different such as restriction of protein, salt restriction, limit potassium, fluid restriction, and energy intake.
